THERE THERE
Mixed media & collage on wood panel
30 H x 30 W x 2 D inches
2026
Original work. Signed and dated. Ships directly from the studio.
Description:
THERE THERE was inspired by winter landscapes, fragmented memory, and the emotional feeling of searching for connection within unfamiliar or shifting environments. The work draws from cinematic mountain imagery, abandoned spaces, and layered cultural references that feel partially remembered rather than fully present.
I wanted the painting to feel atmospheric and unresolved, balancing isolation with quiet human presence. The figures move through a landscape that feels both physical and psychological, encouraging viewers to reflect on distance, memory, and the tension between belonging and disconnection.
The mixed media approach allows surfaces to feel weathered, unstable, and lived-in. By combining collage, painterly washes, abrasion, and graphic elements, the work exists between abstraction and landscape, reflecting themes of erosion, fragmentation, and emotional residue central to the OUT OF RANGE series.
